Combo goes to Soccer (Combo 3)

Just been looking through the drafts of the illustrations for Combo 3 and they're all well on their way to completion. Now need to have them combined with the text and we have our third Combo book! Book 4 is 'in the works' but let's get this one published first. Carrie and I are planning for the next but one sometime first quarter 2011 - hopefully the sales of our existing books will continue well into next year.

Combo book 3

Carrie has drafted the pictures for book 3 and hopes to finish them by the end of December - I'm looking forward to seeing them and getting the latest book listed sometime in January. The Combo are proving popular with readers, perhaps because they're 'picture' book with illustrations on every page, unlike a number of other e-books. Anyway, here's hoping sales continue over the holiday season and into the new year. Of course, you can still buy the other 'adventure' books from www.abook2read.com as well

Combo and the Robots

Book 2 of the Combo series is now almost ready for publication - Carrie has done the cover and the book's now with the publisher to finalise and then advise us of a publication date. Hopefully, book 3 of the series will be available in January 2011

Relaunch of three books

Understand that some of my books will be relaunched for the upcoming holiday season - sales have really picked up and expectations is that this will continue through the festive period - all these people with I-pads can read books wherever they are

Cover for Combo goes Swimming

Carrie has been hard at work and we've sorted the cover for this book, now she's working on the other illustrations. Hopefully, we can get this first book published by end November with the other two, possibly, this December or early in the new year. There are ten in the series altogether so keep checking back for updates

Look like we have secured an e-publisher for the first Combo book, and they seem keen on the rest of the series..., so, about time Carrie starts doing the illustrations for books 2 and 3, target completion within Oct/Nov.

Next time, I'll try and post the proposed cover.

You never know, these books might make a TV series yet!!

Plenty of new ideas - need some more time!

It's September already and I still have a couple more books to write, some more publishers to contact and, generally, draw breath on a busy year!

Priority is the 'Combo' series and I plan to really focus on this in the coming weeks, hopefully to get something sorted by the end of October..., here's hoping.

New books, new books

Just back to Hong Kong after a two week business trip - times to get looking again for a publisher for the Combo series of stories. Carrie has kindly agreed to do the illustrations, it's up to me to work on getting a publisher interested. This time, I'm looking for a publisher of 'hard' books, not the 'soft' e-type. Will keep you posted...

Revision to title

We've decided to change the story title to 'Terry the Turtle', but the story's still the same.... it should be live in a few days from now. In the meantime, have a look at 'Spider' and 'Mice Are Nice' either through the link to the left of this blog or via www.abook2read.com

Coming soon - 'James and Wendy Move House'

We've been busy and Carrie's worked hard on the illustrations of 'James and Wendy Move House'; hopefully,this new book should be published next month along with 'Mice are Nice'. 'Spider' is still due this month so keep a watch for it!

Carrie's finished the cover for Spider and we're now talking to publishers..., will post a publishing date once we have it!

New titles coming....

Have just updated an older story of mine called 'Mice Are Nice' and Carrie is going to update the cover for me before we list for publication.

In the last few days have also written a new story called 'James and Wendy Move House' and will have a think about illustrations next week.

Finally, the illustrations for 'Spider' are coming on nicely and, hopefully, we can get the story to the publisher in early July.
