Combo goes to Soccer (Combo 3)

Just been looking through the drafts of the illustrations for Combo 3 and they're all well on their way to completion. Now need to have them combined with the text and we have our third Combo book! Book 4 is 'in the works' but let's get this one published first. Carrie and I are planning for the next but one sometime first quarter 2011 - hopefully the sales of our existing books will continue well into next year.

Quite a Day Out

Trapped

On a Junk trip heading for the coastal areas of the New Territories four children are happily playing around when they discover a small dinghy. Not content to stay close to their Junk, with their new found ‘toy’, they end up getting washed towards the shoreline, but towards some rocks and not the beach! By the time they try to correct their mistake, it’s too late and they end up in a hidden cave, cut off from the open sea and from their family on the Junk. When they discover a secret passageway, they also discover some surprising secrets. But most of all, can they discover a way out in time?

A Race Against Time

Hurrying back towards Shek-O after a day at one of Hong Kong’s best beaches, Big Wave Bay, four children are struggling with tiredness and their old bicycles. On the deserted road, a car nearly crashes into them but misses and leaves one of them lying in a ditch, with an ankle sore enough to stop her riding any further. There are no other cars or no taxis in sight, so someone has the idea to seek help from one of the big houses sitting high above the road – one of the houses presumably belonging to one of Hong Kong’s super rich persons. Yet, there’s a strange welcome and it becomes a race against time to help prevent a major incident

Mice Are Nice

When Jenny and Ronald agree to look after their friend's two white mice when he goes on holiday, they think it's best not to tell their mother. All is well until mother returns home with a mysterious cardboard box - containing her workmate's cat and which she's agreed to look after for a while. And when the mice go missing, the children have to tell their parents the whole story - and there's only one suspect... the smiling, black cat. A lovely story of adventure and intrigue - after all, 'Mice Are Nice', aren't they?

Weekend Getaway

Four children take a short weekend holiday to Lantau Island, an island about an hour from Hong Kong. One of the children is so engrossed in a book he recently purchased that he simply can’t put it down. Gradually, all four of the children become more and more aware of certain things that don’t quite seem right and there are mysterious happenings on their first night in their rented house.
A sequence of even more “spooky” events follows the next day and the children are left wondering whatever will happen next!

Treasure Trail and Canadian Adventure

Story 1 ‘Treasure Trail’ Adam and Emma’s family plan a weekend picnic at a restful beauty spot in the New Territories, an unspoilt area north of Hong Kong city. Their two friends go with them and it’s not long before the four children discover something unusual when playing hide and seek. When they tell their parents, it’s time to call for the Police.
Story 2 ‘Canadian Adventure’ Adam and Emma take a holiday to Toronto, Canada, to meet relatives they’ve never met before and hoping for a peaceful vacation. But the children are followed by several men in a strange car and soon their Uncle who is driving has to take evasive actions. Enter the Police and it looks like the children are in trouble.

Unexpected Thief

The school holidays are coming to an end and Adam and Emma have done just about everything they wanted to. A few days before they are due to go back, their mother returns home and tells them a famous Circus in is town – unfortunately, it’s too late to book seats for the Circus so they settle for a weekend trip to a Country Park with their family. Co-incidentally, it's their father's birthday that weekend and they invitetwo of their friends for a huge picnic.But things aren't always what they seem and the weekend ends up with an unexpected result.
